 Welcome to the romantic art style of Linda Coulter.
Linda Coulter
has been an artist for over 36 years, and her original oil paintings are found
in private collections in England, Ireland, France, Belgium, Switzerland,
Australia and South Korea, as well as most states of the U.S.
Linda Coulter has 30 years teaching experience in the art industry. She is internationally known for her art style called "grisaille"
which is a French word that means "gray tones". Grisaille is
followed by pure color glazes to create
a full color oil painting that
allows natural sunlight to participate in the finished design.

Learn to paint ... with Linda Coulter
Using
Linda's easy techniques painters of all skill levels can achieve beautiful
results!
 Grisaille and
pure color glazes are easy techniques that
divide and conquer the painting process to allow
the beginner the opportunity to concentrate on just one step at a time.
First, the painting is created in gray tones. This is called "grisaille".
Pure color glazes are then added over the grisaille to bring the art work to a
full color painting.
The final touches are applied with opaque color accents, selectively placed to
enhance the effect of sunlight.
