Welcome to Linda Coulter's art  website!

Linda Coulter has been a professional artist for over 30 years. Her original oil paintings are found in private collections throughout the United States, and in England, Ireland, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Australia, South Korea, and Canada.

Linda's 32 year art career has taken her to an international teaching market where she has enjoyed sharing her art techniques with more than ten thousand adult art students from five continents.

For many years, Linda Coulter has specialized in teaching grisaille painting and pure color glazing inspired by Old Masters of the Renaissance.  While teaching courses at a Smithsonian-affiliate art museum, Linda specialized in teaching art techniques to beginner and intermediate adult students.

Linda Coulter's specialty in the art classroom is streamlining and making art concepts simple so beginners can learn and enjoy painting and sketching.  Linda shares secrets from the Old Masters and unveils color mysteries to enhance the student's learning experience.   Linda Coulter presents color theory to her students in a fun-filled and easy-to-understand method, called Coulter Color Village.

For over 30 years, Linda Coulter has taught students how to paint flowers, landscapes, still life, seascapes, wildlife and portraits.  Whatever the subject you're painting, it can be simplified, and that is Linda's specialty.  Relax and have fun in art class.  Join Linda Coulter this year at a seminar for a fun-filled learning experience!

Vintage Roses (shown below) were featured in 2015 Coulter Art Seminars.

In 2016 Linda will teach Vintage Heirloom Seminars nationally.

At these seminars, each student brings a vintage object to class.  It can be found in your attic, or purchased at a vintage shop, flea market, yard sale, etc.  You will wash or wipe it clean before class.

1.  You will learn how to prepare the vintage item with Chalk Paints. (soft custom colors)

2.  You will learn how to develop a "customized" color scheme for your vintage project.

3.  You will learn how to paint a beautiful vintage design on your project.

("Vintage Designs" can include:  Roses, Hydrangeas, Ribbons, Bluebirds, Butterflies, etc.)

These are just a few examples of last year's seminar projects

We'll be adding new projects in the coming weeks.
