The proper foundation has always been a key component of successful art works. The old masters each had a favorite surface upon which to build the beautiful art works that made them famous.

We have returned to our old habits of painting on a foundational color with just the right texture to accommodate the art work, style and techniques we love to paint. This streamlines the painting process and facilitates very easy learning for our beginner and intermediate students.

These specially toned surfaces coordinate seamlessly with all our new projects, DVDs, classes, workshops, project packets and online classes. Use them with the Coultermix™ Color System to provide fast, fun and easy painting results for a delightful painting hobby.
