Luminist art is reminiscent of an artist brushing tiny diamonds across the canvas to capture radiant light.

Grisaille Workshops

Start with a photograph and solve the challenges of 3 dimensional form, light and shadow, space and distance, through the magic of grisaille painting.   This is fun and easy to learn.

The secret of grisaille is to lay a foundation that enables natural sunlight to participate in the finished design.

This was a cherished technique during the Renaissance, used both in northern Europe (Dutch & Flemish art) and southern Europe (Italian art).

Then comes the magical time when you can transform your classic grisaille art into a full color art work.

Linda's easy process of adding color enables each person to match perfectly their home decor.

It's fun, fast and easy to learn.

Students can bring samples from home of their wall paper, fabrics, carpeting, tile, etc.  Linda will teach students how to match those colors and create custom color mixes to colorize their classic grisaille designs.

Make it as soft and natural as you like, or spice it up with bold beautiful colors.   Each student will choose their favorite colors and be taught how to use those in their finished designs.
